The window reads: WhiteTrashCharms.JAPAN.co …. when I took the picture, the girls in the forefront didn’t know what I was doing. When I was done, I just kinda stared at the window and laughed a little. The girls reacted really confused because they had no idea what the window said/meant. Funny how things really do get lost in translation over here.

This image is appropriately titled the non-human communication.
Advertising at its core is the study of people, and why we do what we do. There is a great article on the Ad-Vocate blog today about this. It goes on to discuss the Human-Centered Design movement and how it is about starting with people and making products that enhance their lives, not designing for the sake of designing. What do you think about this?

Dan Hisel projected and built himself The Cadyville Sauna which was designed and constructed along the Saranac River in upstate New York. It is a compact structure, covered with mirrors. It is built up against a cliff, and the wall of rock forms one interior wall of the sauna. Twenty feet below the sauna the river coils into a deep and powerful whirlpool, spinning reflections of sunlight back up on the rocks around it and the Sauna above it.
